HOMESTAY POLICIES

GENERAL POLICY

WELCOME TO THE CAVALRY: All our visitors are our esteemed guests and are treated with care and respect. The Cavalry is a homestay, and the environment is that of a home. We request you to take some time to go through the following policies, so that there is no inconvenience on either side. Some cardinal rules are given below, and we would highly appreciate it if these are followed in good spirit.

ARRIVAL & DEPARTURE

A)  Check-In Time: 14:00 to 19:00

B)  Check-Out Time: 08:00 to 11:00

01.     Early check-in is subject to room availability and should be requested at least 24 hours before arrival. Early check-in is charged on the base price of the room for the day, as follows: from 11:00 to 14:00, 30%; from 07:00 to 11:00, 50%; before 07:00, the full tariff for the previous night.

02.     Late check-out is subject to room availability and is chargeable. Check-out up to 15:00 will attract a charge of 30% of the base price of the room for the day. Beyond 15:00, the guest is expected to pay the full tariff for the day.

 

03.     Guests arriving after 19:00 are requested to inform the management in advance.

 

04.     The main gate of the property is closed at 23:00. Guests expecting to return after this time are requested to inform the management in advance.

 

05.     As per Government regulations, all Indian guests must share a valid identity proof issued by the Government of India at the time of check-in. The homestay reserves the right to refuse entry if this is not provided.

 

06.     As per Government regulations, all foreign guests must present a valid passport and visa at the time of check-in. Information for Form 'C' (Foreigners Regional Registration Office, Ministry of Home Affairs) will be taken upon arrival, so we kindly request your cooperation. The homestay reserves the right to refuse entry if these documents are not provided.

 

07.     The entire room tariff for the duration of the stay is payable at the time of check-in. Payment can be made by cash (INR), credit or debit card, online bank transfer or UPI. Local or outstation cheques are not accepted. Any newly implemented or revised government taxes will be charged extra on the check-in date.

 

08.     Should you wish to extend your stay, confirmation will be subject to room availability, and full payment for the extension is due at the time of confirmation.

 

09.     Parties and gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited on the homestay premises.

 

10.     In the event of any breakage or damage to homestay property caused by a guest, whether accidental or otherwise, the guest is expected to compensate the homestay adequately for the loss.

 

11.     Parents are responsible for supervising children at all times.

 

12.     Guests travelling with elderly individuals please note that access to the rooms is by stairs only.

 

13.     Guests' visitors are required to meet them in designated areas such as the lobby or courtyard, and are strictly prohibited from entering guest rooms. The Cavalry Abhay Niwas reserves the right to remove any additional occupants found in a room.

14.     Consumption of liquor is strictly prohibited on the property. ALL ROOMS ARE NON-SMOKING, and any guest found smoking in a room will be fined INR 1,500. A dedicated smoking area is available on the property.

 

15.     To ensure the safety and comfort of all guests, the homestay reserves the right to take appropriate action, including removing a guest from the property, where a guest's behaviour is deemed inappropriate or poses a threat to the well-being of others. In cases of safety or medical emergencies, the homestay may take the measures necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of all guests.

 

16.     Breakfast is served in the Dining Area from 08:30 to 10:30.

 

17.     Guests checking in early who wish to have breakfast on the day of arrival must inform the management in advance. Breakfast on the day of arrival is charged extra. However, no extra charge applies if the guest chooses to forgo breakfast on any other day of their stay in its place.

18.     Guests checking out before 08:00 are requested to inform the management in advance. Breakfast will not be served on the day of departure in such cases.

​

19.     Any other meal ordered by guests will also be served in the Dining Area. In-room service of food is not provided.

 

20.     We request our guests to help us keep the homestay premises clean, and to dispose of litter and cigarette butts in the designated bins and ashtrays.

 

21.     Guests are requested to return the room key at the time of check-out. In case of loss of the key, the guest will be requested to compensate for the loss.

 

22.     We request our guests to take care of their belongings. The homestay will not be held responsible for any loss.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Guests may cancel free of charge until 7 days before the date of arrival. If a booking is cancelled within 7 days of arrival, the total price of the reservation will be charged.

Failure to arrive will be treated as a no-show, and the total price of the reservation will be charged.

 

REFUND POLICY

All eligible refunds will be processed within 14 working days.
